An interesting point of view Erik. But humans & technology are and always have been, symbiotic. Oddly enough, Homo Sapiens may have copied technology from Neanderthals. I assume by "modern" technology, you mean digital. The evidence shows that it is how we develop & evolve technologies that has enabled us to survive through cultural transmission. Yes, we may end up wiping ourselves out, or perhaps, we may evolve and thrive. I'm a bit more optimistic that we'll survive....as we have done, for millions of years. Leveraging technology.
