Brilliantly stated James. Weber & Durkheim posited, over 100 years ago that as technology increases, so does the division of labour & individualism increases. Here we are today as they predicted. One wonders too, does culture influence the institution or vice versa? Unger was brilliant, but it is a Western European viewpoint in a capitalist society. It is much different in non-WEIRD countries.
