Interesting perspective...I don't think "markdown" is what Evernote aims for. Overall markdown is a niche segment of the market. Bear is great for that, as is Ulysses for writing, but markdown required time to learn and is, really a reversion to an old school mode. It's not bad, but isn't where most consumers want to go.
