Interestingly put. All technologies are sustainable. The stone axe is still a viable and used technology, to this day. Context and degree of use may change, but many tech remains sustainable. Some don't. Or are adapted. Technology is a part of what being human means. Language is technology. So is writing. Technology evolves with culture and societal evolutions. The nice thing about digital technologies however, is that we can unplug them. For now.
