Some poignant thoughts. I think though, you've missed the primary human survival mechanism: culture. That has always override technology and we live symbiotic with technology ever since we started doing tool things with stones. That said, we certainly must not leave it all to the technocrats. We can't code our way out of this. But we can culture our way out. Sadly, few really understand what culture means outside of pop music and Academy awards.
