Very true & this is a great article. As a digital (cultural) anthropologist & having done 200+ netnographic studies to date, one thing I've found is that digital culture is highly amorphous & erratic. Many of these activities seem profound in the moment, but are fireflies in reality & move so fast they don't have time to become truly cultural & are one dimensional. They may have impact at the moment, but that fizzles rather quickly.
