Well stated. I'd add that our knowledge comes from collective memory and is shaped by cultural transmission. Culture is the knowledge we use to navigate our world. Most think culture is just the arts. It is far more. It includes social structure, politics, religion, economics and more. And IT is too often conflated with Information Management.
